ABOUT FR JOSIS VAZHAKALA

Fr. Josis Vazhakala is a Syriac Orthodox Priest and the Founder and Director of St. Paul's Community and Family Services. As a Registered Nurse (RN) and Psychotherapist, Fr. Josis provides counseling services to our clients. He is registered and regulated by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) to practice psychotherapy, adhering to the standards set forth in the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991.
With over 5 years of experience as an addiction and mental health nurse, Fr. Josis brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his practice. He holds Master of Science degrees in Nursing and Psychology from India and has received training in various psychotherapy modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Behavioral Therapy. Fr. Josis embraces a diversity of therapeutic techniques and styles to meet the unique needs of each client.
Fr Josis is actively involved in serving the communities of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Simcoe County. He has introduced various programs and initiatives through St. Paul’s Community and Family Services, to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families in these regions.
